My 2007 Audi A4 is part of the Takata airbag lawsuit so I scheduled an appointment to have it repaired at Audi of Tampa. I had my car towed there because the battery recently died and I was told I needed to have the key reprogrammed because it would not start after replacing the battery and figured I could have both repairs done at the same time. My appointment was at 7pm but when I arrived nobody had any knowledge of my appointment and was told they do not make appointments that late in the day but a technician would give me a call. I leave my car there and receive a call today from the repair technician Tyler King who proceeded to tell me that prior to doing anything to the car he'd have to run a diagnostics test that would cost me $500! WHAT? Just to give a diagnosis that I've already been given? Insane. So now that I do not have that kind of money what am I supposed to do? …

Many years ago Audi advised that there is a defect with the air bag in my vehicle, and that they would change it for free. I contacted a dealer and they said they would contact me after the part is available. They have done nothing, the defective air bag is still in the car, the company still explains that the airbag can cause serious injury to occupants, and I still drive my family in the car. Now they are suggesting that because the car is nearing 15 years old they may disregard the risk to my family and not take responsibility for the defective air bag. The car has been to the shop, but their current web site does not clearly say, in plain language, that the air bag has been replaced. The language is not written so that an average prudent person can understand. I would like, in straight forward and unambiguous language, to know what the status is with the car.

The contact's granddaughter owns a 2007 Audi A4. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V427000 (Air Bags), the dealer informed the contact that the recall repair could not be completed because the odometer did not display the mileage as per the manufacturer's policy. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, but no assistance was provided. The contact's granddaughter had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Air bags did not work in a accident in 2010. Speed was approximately 25 mpg. Accident involved the right side front panel of the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop at a four way stop. Received recall notice by Audi March 2017. Still no resolution to get airbags fixed.

Purchased car from elk grove Audi as a certified used vehicle. The seat broke and no airbags deployed. I was at a stop light with one truck in front of me also stopped. A Chevy tahoe doing approx 45 MPH hit me from behind, she moved over at the last minute so she did not hit me completely from the rear, she ended up hitting the back drivers side and then down the side of the drivers side. I was pushed into the truck in front of me. One of the officers asked if we had purchased the car used since the airbags did not deploy. Car was totalled - during the process of the settlement on the car the insurance company informed us that the car had been in an accident before. When we went back to Audi about it, they claim they had no knowledge of the previous accident. …

Takata recall I called to schedule a recall repair at my local Audi dealership(fresno, ca Audi/Porsche) and they told me that they didn't have the part and that thy were not sure when a new one would arrive. So it's been about 4 weeks now since I talked to the Audi dealership and I'm driving around with a faulty airbag in my car, this is a little scary. Knowing that if I got in a crash my passenger could be seriously injured or even die. All Audi is telling me every time I try to call is, 'we still don't have the part, and we will keep you paperwork on our desk and call you when it's in'.well, I don't think it takes 4 weeks to get a airbag part in. Don't know what to do, because Audi isn't working with me, and I'm concerned for my occupants safety.

Takata recall, our passenger airbag recall was documented May 27,2016. We have been calling our local Audi dealer, Audi of raleigh for updates every few months and they have been unable to provide us with any information about the recall. We are going on 14 months unable to use the front passenger seat of our car and most dealers are no unwilling to take the vehicle in trade because they can not sell it. We currently have a car that is difficult to use and can not be sold.

It is 11-06-2016 and there is no attempt to fix my car. This recall has been issued for months and Audi has not provided any solution other than no one can ride in the front passenger seat. This is unacceptable. This is my son's car and we are in one of the more dangerous zones according to the data for these air bags to fail. I would like something done asap.
