While turning left at 5mph the ABS and brake light suddenly went on and a high pitched sound came from the dash. Speed control & acceleration

Throttle accelerates on its own when cold. This especially happens when vehicle has not fully warmed up in weather below freezing. I will let off the throttle and vehicle will continue to accelerate for several seconds before seemingly getting unstuck. There is no issue with throttle cable, and throttle body has been cleaned since the onset, which changed nothing.

While waiting at a stop sign, the vehicle started to accelerate. The unexpected occurrence of acceleration caused the consumer to lose control of vehicle and rear ended the vehicle in front. After checking vehicles, the consumer returned to the vehicle and noticed the cruise control light was on when it was never engaged. The manufacturer and the dealer were aware of the problem. There was a snow condition at the time of the incident and the vehicle was unable to stop as it slid and the antilock brakes pulsated due to the sliding action.

Vehicle was running in park position in the driveway while consumer was loading the vehicle. Vehicle all of a sudden came out of gear, rolled backwards, engine sounded like it was racing. Contacted the dealer. Second time this happened was May 1999. Backed the vehicle out of the garage into the driveway, put in park to help daughter get something out the back, and the vehicle came out of gear, engine sounded like it was racing.
