The problem
Vehicle description: medium duty trucks equipped with 7.0l liquefied petroleum gas (lpg) engine or 7.0l efi (gasoline) engine with the optional cab floor pan reinforcement. The engine wiring harness or battery cable can be pinched between the optional cab reinforcement and the frame causing an abrasion which could result in an electrical short circuit.
The risk
A short circuit can cause overheating and arcing.
The fix
Dealers will modify the reinforcement(s) and, if necessary, reposition the engine wiring harness (including installation of the revised engine wire harness retention bracket) and battery cable.
