Audi Recall 17V-150: Seat belts – pretensioner

Affected: 2017 Audi A5 Cabriolet. Filed with NHTSA on March 8, 2017, covering about 1,676 vehicles.

The problem

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2017 Audi A5 Cabriolet and S5 Cabriolet vehicles. A component within the front, rear, and rear center seat belt retractor pretensioners may detach after the seatbelt retractor pretensioner is deployed in the event of a crash.

The risk
