[redacted] power steering system tires fuel pump air bags battery everything has been falling apart since 2018, it's been fixed and couple months later, the same problem comes up. Every mechanic that touches this car, said the same thing to check up the recall status. Because there are too many issues with it, and the mileage is low. So there is a faulty parts, that keep braking down in the middle of the road, and I have been calling roadside assistance at least 4 times since December. Brand new tires and brakes were installed and still having the same problems.

The cars left side, right side, front bumper, tires and suspension were damaged. Though no other cars were hit, commercial garbage cans, stop sign, telephone pole and a series 4 curbs inflicted damage. The air bags did not deploy despite having them checked by the dealer as required by a recall.

Air bag recall was fixed as soon as we were notified (a few months ago). My son had a bad accident today and neither he nor the first responders can understand why the air bags did not deploy. Were they fixed correctly? Were they just turned off? How can we go about getting answers before the car is taken off to the junk yard? It was my car that I gave to him so I writing this as he is no shape right now.

Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture

NHTSA investigation EA21002 · opened Sep 17, 2021 · open

From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited.
