Last year i had the same issues with my 2003 nissan sentra gxe that i am now facing with my 2006 nissan altima. The serpentine belt comes off because of the harmonic balance and this ones ac clutch locked up and is wobbling plus my transmission acts irratic snd the starter csused the cwr to stall and catch fire! Th3 stress and agony of dpending all my savings fixing the car to end up stuck anyways and this is ongoing problems that keep reoccuring in all piece of sh** nissans and they want more money id like to file a lawsuit ! #BOYCOTT NISSAN
I started my vehicle, as usual, and when driving at a very slow speed (neighborhood speed limits) I approached a very busy intersection and the car just stopped. Not only did it stop, it would not steer and a bunch of warning lights came on the dashboard. Tav I believe, oil, check engine light. Even with the key in the acc mode, the power steering was not functioning. Everything just stopped functioning. I know this vehicle was recalled for the same exact thing back in 2008, but obviously it wasn't permanently fixed. Recall #07v-527. If I would have been in the middle of an intersection and this happened I could have been killed.
I have replaced the water pump, the belt, the thermostats, the rotors, the brakes, the fuel pump, the evap vent valve solenoid, the spark plugs, and fuel injectors and my car is STILL throwing the codes P-0462 and P-447. I've checked the wires and they are good. My car keeps misfiring and stalling now and my fuel pump doesn't have a fuel level sensor. The float bar is brand new as well as the fuel pump. And my dashboard speedometer is 10 miles off. I've tried everything and it's still throwing the same codes.
UNKNOWN: While driving the car will stall. After restarting it, the car will then be stuck in fifth (highest) gear. The SES (Service engine soon) light comes on. The first time this happened, after the next trip, the SES light went out. Then the same thing happened. This is a danger because if this happens in heavy traffic, it could lead to a collision.
My dte said 180 miles, with almost a half tank of gas, car stopped on me on freeway, no warning light of low fuel. Car stopped and an accident occurred because of this problem. The dte or gas gauge does not read accurately. Please I need help
Vehicle was being drove down major highway when all of the sudden it loses all power, get off highway on edge put it in park, turn key completely off and try to restart car fails to start check engine light comes on and stays. Get code pulled shows crankshaft position sensor a. Get the crankshaft position sensor replaced and code cleared. Head home with car, does same exact thing that happened while on the highway in town. Have had everything else looked at and no one knows what to do to fix the problem. Car acts as if it's hard to start ever since this happened. Definitely won't be taking it out of town until something is done. Car will sit and crank and crank then eventually decides to start. Starter isn't issue it was previously replaced not even 2 months ago due to it going out.
I have a 2006 Nissan Altima, last year in October my wife was driving this car to go to grocery store, just as she about to park the car, the vehicle driver side power seat suddenly lunge forward, it cause my wife to lose control and hit another car that is park next to where she was about to park. I take the car to the dealership for repair, the driver seat where at a invert 60 degree angle, the dealership notice the power supply is burn, so they replace the power supply, but refuse to repair the damage to my car and the other car my wife hit. I am registering a complain against the Nissan car company about this issue, please assist me and find if there is a defect with the product that should have been recall.
Nissan Altima 2006 repeatedly fails to start. Once we got it started we would drive a short distance and then it would die out. Very scary as we were on a traffic roadway. We proceeded to a service center to get a new battery and alternator but that only started the vehicle for a few moments then it died out again. Repair technician informed us it was the Nissan computer box indicating it was reading everything "backwards" and thus the car could not determine how to start the car anymore. The service center got in touch with a Nissan dealership and ordered a new computer box. The new computer did not work either! We are stuck with an inoperable vehicle. Help!
While driving ~25 MPH I was slowing down to a red traffic light and my car spontaneously shut off in traffic! I was able to put my car in park and restart the car. A few days later, it took 3 attempts before my engine started. After a diagnostic, the car displayed codes p0335 (crankshaft position sensor) and p0725 (engine speed circuit signal sensor). After doing much research I found hundreds of complaints online with similar issues! I input my VIN# to see if my vehicle was under recall and it wasn't. After seeing hundreds of the same complaints, why hasn't their been a recall? If there was, how is it possible that my car wasn't recalled?
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 Nissan Altima. While driving 65 MPH, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate and stalled without warning. The contact coasted the vehicle over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the crankshaft and cam sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
