My husband had purchased 4 brand new COOPER TIRES EVOLUTION H/T M+S size P235 / 65 R 18 a number of years ago. My husband has since passed away. I cannot find my sales receipt due to the fact my husband had paid for the tires in question. I do not know what he did with the sales receipt. I have a few good-faith efforts and attempts to bring this matter to COOPER TIRES but each and every time I got the same reply from them "NO we cannot help you. We will not be able to warranty your tires for you......we need a sales receipt......" I had my good friend take my vehicle to a local tire dealer and installer recommended by COOPER TIRES and this tire dealer found that: (1) all 4 COOPER TIRES on my vehicle look and are brand new (2) tire tread depth on all 4 COOPER TIRES on my vehicle are 8/32 " (3) three COOPER TIRES on my vehicle show a DOT date code of 2017 and one COOPER TIRE on my car …

My 2006 Mercury Mountaineer has intermittently jolted or lurched forward when stopping for lights and stop signs after speeds over 30 MPH. Hasn't gotten away from me but feels as if I am going to hit something or someone ahead of me. Extremely scary when people are in cross walk. I took my car to the Ford dealer shortly after buying it used. The dealer checked it out and denied it was happening. That was years ago and tonight I saw numerous complaints on another website about this problem. Was looking because now I am getting a grinding noise from my wheels which persists after a brake job that didn't fix it as I thought. Both problems are separate but I see a pattern of them on this vehicle now.
2006 Mercury Mountaineer, blew a tire, then went off the right side of the road struck 3 bridge pillars and then jack knifed, coming to rest in the median. (ohio traffic crash report # 10-0245-89) updated 08/06/10
I was driving on state highway 295 milemark 54 when all 5 lugs broke on the passenger front tire of the 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. The tire fell off and the car pulled to the right. I compensated and steered left to the center grass median, luckily no one was hurt. I had it towed to the closest dealer. Upon inspection,1 of the lugs on the driver's side had failed. The mechanics aid it was evident it was not from over tightening , but a flaw in the lug itself. Since I am 2000 miles out of warranty Ford will do nothing. Had I been in a different location I am sure it would have been much worse. Before someone gets hurt if people haven't already, I think this should be investigated. I took all the parts that were replaced for inspection.

Big o techs conned wife into buying 2 tires and we own AWD SUV that requires 4 at the same intervals .I immediately notify them that this is not safe and will damage my car they continued for over 2 months to lie to me about having somemone comtact me . I have all the communications I've had with them through messages. A few weeks after they put the tires on and refused to take them off and put my old o es back on and issue a refund well my transmission and transfer case failed I contacted them again and again they lied to me about someone contacting me . I took my SUV to the transmission shop we measured over 2 inch circumference difference. I informed big o that I have a TSB issued by Ford my employer that dates back to 2011 on tire circumference procedures for tire dealers to follow . The response I got was that big o refuses to review or acknowledge tsbs . …
Dt: the automatic tire warning system has not worked since the consumer purchased the vehicle. However, there was no problem with the tires. Every time he took it to the dealer they recalibrated the computer every 3,000 miles, but this has not improved the condition. When he contacted the manufacturer they tell him to take it to the tire dealer. The tire dealer referred him back to Ford because it was a problem with the vehicle itself. The consumer felt that it was a safety issue because the computer did not warn him if there was a loss of air pressure in any of the tires. This occurred first in 12-2003, and happened again when the consumer had taken a trip in 5-2004, and it kept recurring. Updated 12/27/2005 -
