Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2014 Toyota Avalon, Camry, Sienna, and Highlander and model year 2015 Lexus RX350 vehicles. Fuel may leak from the one of the fuel delivery pipes in the engine compartment.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace any of the suspect fuel delivery pipes free of charge. The recall began November 17, 2014. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

My car caught fire on its own. I was awaken by the police who said that my parked car is on fire. The fire department and police confirmed that the fire started on its own from the engine and there is no larceny. They mentioned that there was a vehicle recall for the same problem and then I search online and found the recall. Engine fire which destroyed entire car on a clear 70 degree day at 65 MPH,operator is non smoker,on a well maintained 4 lane highway car burst into flames at 12:30 pm car exclusively serviced at authorized Lexus dealers and all scheduled maintainance completed

The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank needed to be replaced because the cylinder canister contained fuel. The vehicle was repaired; however, the vehicle had a fuel odor. The vehicle was not taken back to a dealer or diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000. The VIN was not provided.
My car stalls on acceleration. No check engine light comes on. I have researched the internet and discovered that there are recalls for fuel pump failures on some toyotas I have checked with the dealer and the recall site using the VIN. Nothing I believe I have a defective fuel pump that was installed on my vehicle. I would appreciate Toyota repair it. .

The brake pedal was depressed, but failed to stop the vehicle. The contact had to shift the vehicle into the park position in order for the vehicle to stop. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
