The contact owns a 2023 JEEP Wagoneer. The contact stated that while towing, the vehicle experienced a serious and recurring safety failure where the trailer lights would function for approximately five minutes before a portion of them would blackout. This failure renders towing unsafe and illegal, as it compromises visibility and traffic law compliance. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 26E006000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) however, the VIN was not included in the recall due to the vehicle not being within the 2024-2025 range listed on the recall notice. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three separate occasions for the same failure. During the first visit, the dealer stated the issue was with the trailers; however, the contact paid for independent inspections that confirmed both trailers were in proper working order. …
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the parking brake was independently engaged. Additionally, the front driver's and rear passenger's side windows would independently lower while driving. The contact stated that the vehicle would jerk while depressing the accelerator pedal, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact would restart the vehicle after each failure to resume normal operation. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where the vehicle was serviced. Despite the initial repair, the parking brake and jerking persisted with the check engine warning light illuminated after each repair. After one visit, the check engine warning light returned soon after exiting the dealer parking lot and the vehicle was towed back to the dealer for service. …
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently went into park(P) and turned off while merging into traffic with the message "Stop/Start Required" displayed. The vehicle also shut off unexpectedly while idling in park(P). The contact was forced to restart the vehicle to resume normal operation. The vehicle was initially taken to a dealer, and the failure was attributed to the gasoline in the fuel tank; however, the failure returned the following day. The same dealer later diagnosed the vehicle with a defective auxiliary battery inside the alternator. The dealer refused to honor the warranty, prompting the contact to seek repairs from an independent mechanic. The part to repair the vehicle was currently on a national backorder, and there was no estimated date for the parts to become available. …
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that several unknown lights on the instrument cluster were illuminated and flashing. There was an abnormal horn sound detected. The contact stated that the engine overheated and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was jump-started. The contact was locked out on several occasions. The contact stated that the third-row seat had folded her child up while parental controls were enabled. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the battery was replaced, but the failure recurred. While driving, coming to a stop & starting from full stop at lights, car shut itself down. After 6 separate events it happened whislt in motion. Exvept this time it engaged the E break, park break, killed power steering, locked the steering wheel, reset all systems and put itself in park. ALL WHILE TRAVELLING AT 25mph. The vehicle jacknifed and bodilly injury sustained by driver.
After very minor accident the car crash symbol and the car in lane symbol came on and will not turn off. Took to dealer and they said there was no update to correct the problem. Feel unsafe in a car that should be safe since it's new. And has error message of limited functionality.
I bought this vehicle used form Carmax, <12000 miles. Drove about 12 miles, when while parking I noticed the car stopped and asked to start engine and engage gear again. Didn't think much of it. Then started driving again and the check engine light turned on. There are lots of reports of wagoneers with engine light problems (in fact we had test driven a different one with both check engine and transmission lights on which for obvious reasons didn't buy). I reported to Carmax. Finished my drive and stayed idle for a while trying to see if there were any settings that may be responsible, but the engine was stuttering, almost shutting off, with the entire thing, even the driving lights shutting off intermittently. The following day I took the vehicle for a check at Carmax, and while slowing at an intersection to let a school bus pass, the car completely shut down. …
This Jeep has gone back to the dealership 3 times for dangerous Undrivability, twice on the back of a tow truck, and third time retrieved by the dealer for repair. It has endangered my family on multiple occasions, each for a different reason, making this car unsafe to have my family drive in. It is less than one year old. Only 1 month after purchasing, it died in a parking lot with my family in the car. It had to be put on a flatbed back to the dealer for a computer replacement. The second time, it died in my driveway and again had to be brought on a flatbed to the dealer. The third incident was the most dangerous and the incident that must be flagged. With my kids in the car, my wife came to a stop sign. The car shook and jittered, the entertainment system went out, and the headlights flashed. …
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that on several occasions, while driving at various speeds and continuing to accelerate, the RPM failed to respond as needed. Additionally, while slowing down the RPM failed to lower. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated, or the message to check the user manual for proper oil and fuel usage was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that a system update was needed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred within several months. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the entire instrument cluster became inoperable, with the speedometer remaining at 0 MPH, or the message to "Depress Brake Pedal to Start Vehicle" was displayed. …
I purchased my 2023 Jeep Wagoneer new in March 2023. The vehicle has experienced multiple electrical/electronic safety-related failures. Beginning around Oct. 2024, the digital instrument cluster intermittently failed to load after startup, leaving me without critical information including vehicle speed and fuel level. I photographed this occurring numerous times and repeatedly reported it to the dealer. The cluster was eventually replaced in April 2026. The vehicle has also unexpectedly shut off more than once while slowing or coming to a stop at a stop sign or traffic light. In July 2026, the entire right-front exterior lighting system failed. The right headlight, daytime/running light, front turn signal and cornering light are all inoperative while the left side operates normally. The dealer replaced the complete right headlamp assembly in Aug. …
