What 2015 Jaguar XF owners say
Engine & cooling
My vehicle has about 68k miles, I have always serviced the vehicle properly. While driving the car my steering locked up and my vehicle lost all power on a busy road with my children in the car. Luckily we are safe but this is very dangerous. I have had the car inspected by several certified and insured mechanics and the engine pulley broke off of my engine block causing my entire engine and steering to shut down. Every mechanic says this is not normal and should not have happened at this mileage or without a huge impact and they all agree it is a safety hazard especially since the car gave no waring of engine needing to be serviced.
the engine stopped working. The dealer said a new was required since the engine no longer had enough compression in one cylinder. The car had only 83,000 miles. In talking with other repair shops, they said this is a common feature in many 2015 XFs.
Electrical system
I was driving my 2015 Jaguar XF on 290 east bound in worcester ma when the vehicle lost power and broke down on the side of the highway barely in break down lane. It broke down due to oil leaking on the alternator which caused it to fail and the vehicle to break down. The oil leak was caused by a faulty gasket. I complained to Jaguar corporate and they will not do anything about it even though this gasket is known to go in the jaguars and Land rovers. I called aaa and they had to call an officer do the location of my vehicle. This should absolutely be a recall for this gasket. This is roughly a 2 to 3 thousand repair due to half the engine has to come apart. My father and I could of gotten killed do this happening. I have owned this vehicle for a year and 3 months and I have only put 13K miles on the vehicle. I have only had to do the oil change and rear brake pads. …

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jagura XF. The contact stated that the engine stalled while driving. The vehicle was taken several times to the dealer for repair. The dealer performed a diagnostic test, which located a failure code at the fuel system. The low pressure fuel pump was replaced; however, the failure was not corrected. The fuel lever provided the incorrect reading and caused the vehicle to stall. The manufcturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.
There was a fuel leak caused by a wire containing a hole in the front of the vehicle causing the car to smell like gasoline when sitting inside. Possibly, caused by the top of the car rubbing against the wire, due to insufficient clearance. Service advisor mentioned that this was not due to the owner/driver's fault and it makes the car unsafe to drive due to possibility of a fire. There have been a few recalls by Jaguar concerning this exact issue, but Jaguar says my car is not included simply because my VIN does not match.
