Engine & cooling

I was traveling sb i25 mile marker 251 on7/7/17 at 13;20. When a 6ft long tire debre was in the road and got hit by truck and thrown into my radiator and damaged the front end of my vehicle. When I talk to chp he had an earlier report of this yet it was in the road when I entered onto what I believed was a safe highway. I have the required liability insurance, this is not covered. The trucking co says they arent liable so the only other liability is cdot since the road wasn't safe.

The dealer couldn't find the problem.

Wheels & tires

This is the third problem with continental tires since I owned my 2002 Jaguar x-Type sport. The first was a flat the day I bought it. The second was numerous cracks in the inside tire tread, and the third was discovered at the dealer service dept. For a tire rotation for cords sticking through the sidewall. All 3 instances were the left rear tire. Continental blames Jaguar, Jaguar blames continental, and I'm still out 3 tires in only 19 months/19,000 miles of ownership !!! My wife is extra cautious about driving ever since we brought it home not to hit any road obstacles, we feel this is a safety issue and possible lemon law as well.

Aluminum wheels dent easily allowing air leakage from tires. These are the sport wheels on the jag x-Type model. I ran over a deer carcass in road and the right front passenger side tire deflated and came off the rim as the car was traveling 70 MPH. The car spun out of control and $17.000 of damage was incurred. After the accident it was noted at actually all the wheels had small dents and they all needed to be replaced. Regular tires and wheels were purchased. Tires were made by continental. Aluminum wheels were standard on sports model.
