I wrecked my 07 Infiniti April 29th and not one of my air bags came out and everyone I have talked too and seen my car said there is no way that they should have not deployed
A safety problem with my Infiniti, a 2007 g35x model occurred randomly, with odometer reading around 160,000 miles. The airbag light on the dash began to flash without having been in an accident or damage to the car in anyway. I believe that the failure of this module was not due to neglect or error on my part. Upon my research, I found an airbag safety recall on 2006 and some 2007 g35x Infiniti's, but my particular vehicle was not included. A report found on the motor safety website https://www.motorsafety.org/category/Infiniti/ stated this issue and recall impacted more cars than initially identified, including my model and year. I have contacted Infiniti corporation asking them for help covering the cost of this $6000 repair because the inspecting mechanic stated that I should not be driving a car with a dangerous safety issue. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the occupant classification system (ocs) air bag warning indicator illuminated without warning. That contact stated that anyone could sit in the passenger seat and the air bag warning indicator would not turn off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and stated that the air bag ocs sensor needed to be replaced. The dealer confirmed that the air bag sensor was replaced by the previous owner. The failure recurred multiple times. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 08V521000 (air bags, electrical system). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 77,375.
Occupant classification system malfunction. I have a 2007 Infiniti G35 with 144000 miles, never had any accident before. Recently the air bag light started flashing for no apparent reason. I took it to the Infiniti dealer and was told it was the passenger air bag sensor in the front passenger seat that was bad, and would cost several thousands dollar to fix. After doing research it suggests this is a very common problem that many Infiniti/Nissan owners are currently have. Nissan has recall for this particular problem for very selected vehicle but I think a wider range of recall should be done by Infiniti/Nissan.
