Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2003 GMC Yukon XL. It was later discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale on January 26th, 2026. At the time of purchase and at the time of the vehicle registration, the vehicle mileage was 186,000. While applying for insurance on February 20, 2026, the contact was informed that the vehicle was due for a 300,000-mile maintenance plan. The contact confirmed through the Carfax Report that the actual mileage was 300,000. The dealer was contacted and informed of the odometer fraud discovery; however, the dealer refused further contact to resolve the issue. The odometer fraud was also reported to the State Consumer Protection Division.

Instrument cluster. Gauges randomly stick or falsely read to include speedometer. Sometimes it will stick at a random speed. Other times it will peg at its max. Unknown if odometer is involved. Sometimes they reset after repeated start/off cycles. Was covered under a GM recall bulletin no: 07187b, page 8. Current odometer is 145,369. Should GM not repair this after the warranted period? This is just as dangerous now than it was at 70,000 miles. Oil pressure gauge very rarely reads correctly. I trailer tow often and correct oil pressure is imperative as is a correct speedometer reading. On the top of the page I downloaded from NHTSA is the number csc-10026542-8984. Please note that this began two years ago with a faulty amp gauge but within the last several months it has now affected all gauges but the fuel gauge, water temp and transmission temp. …

About a month a ago my 2003 Yukon XL all of a sudden would not drive over15 miles an hr in rush hour traffic. I took the truck to the shop to have diagnostics ran. I was told it was the battery. The truck ran for about a month then all of a sudden the battery was back dead. Returned the truck back to the shop another battery was put in. It's been about another month. This time I was driving from miami to jacksonville and the truck lost power 100 miles outside jacksonville on I-95 north. It had all power just would not crank. Had it towed to the shop now I'm being to there's a problem with electrical.

Frontal impact between my 2003 Yukon XL denali and a 1992 Honda prelude. Impact to my vehicle in front left corner # 40 MPH causing minor damage to my vehicle resulted in my vehicle catching fire within 30 seconds of impact. My vehicle was totaled as a result of the fire, not the impact.

While driving at 65 MPH, the Yukon just shut down and the battery light came on. Got to shoulder of road, put it in park, turn of the ignition and started it right back up. Did it again, 15 minutes later - same results. The next 7 times, the car at low speed (15-20 MPH) started acting like it wasn't getting gas and running rough, not pulling. Pulled of road. Would turn over and try to start and if it started, was very rough. After about 15 minutes, the Yukon started like nothing was wrong and would run for 10-15 minutes. This also happened to me in June. Took to an independent mechanic who could find nothing wrong. Happened to my parents in 2006 in this vehicle traveling to mississippi. GMC dealer could find nothing wrong. Currently the dealer wants to change the fuel pump. I have researched and others with this problem have replaced the fuel pump and it doesn't stop happening. …

I have taken my 2003 GMC Yukon XL in for service on the air conditioner on more than one occasion. I recently moved from michigan to tennessee and while living in michigan I notices a squealing noise whenever I turned on my ac. The noise would last a few minutes and then stop. I also noticed a rattling noise upon acceleration while the ac was on. I took it to the dealer in michigan and at first nothing was found. I again took it to a dealership in tennessee and was told that it was a recycling switch, and it was replaced. Now, almost I year later the same problem has occurred but unfortunately, my vehicle is now out of warranty (50,000 miles) and I am now told that the air compressor has completely failed. It will now cost me over $1,000 to repair on a car that is less than two years old.

Vehicle stalls while in motion. Figured out it May be running out of gas due to the gauge not working. Now, it stalls when it only has a half a tank of gas, not completely empty. Put 16 gallons of gas in the 30 gallon tank, truck runs smooth. Replaced the fuel filter twice. Replaced the battery, tested the alternator, results no alt. Problem. Check engine light on, speedometer is off, gas gauge is off, and the rear view mirror display lights go on and off erratically. Biggest problem is when I break the truck will shut off. This has been going on since nov. 2010, when we replaced the battery and quit using a certain type of gas it seemed to be fine. Now, it is acting up and today was the first incident since early December.

Recall for the speedometer in 2003/2004 the there was a recall in 2003/2004 for the speedometer and when I took my car in for another problem I showed the recall letter and they said they only could change it if there was any problem. Past 7 years and less than 70,000 miles the speedometer stopped working when I parked my car. I took my car in to get fixed and they charge me for it, because it has passed 7 years and the warranty for the recall had expired. If there was a problem before they knew it that sooner or later we would have a problem with the speedometer. This is safety if someone drives a car in the freeway and the speedometer just stopped, what it's going to happen if you don't know your speed.
