What 2009 GMC Yukon XL 1500 owners say

Air bags

2009 GMC Yukon XL, 61000 miles. Dash around the airbag and all over the instrument cluster has cracked in multiple places. This vehicle has not been in any accidents and has never been driven off road. It has always been garaged. This is a very common problem with Chevy/GMC trucks. If the airbag deploys there is a very good chance that pieces of the dash will pose a significant hazard to the vehicle occupants.

61,000 miles · Jul 2015

Crack in dash beside passenger side air bag. Crack seemed to appear overnight with no trauma to the dash at all. Vehicle has been garage kept. I am very concerned that in the event that the airbag deploys, shrapnel from the cracked dash will be thrown into my passengers' faces causing serious injury.
