Electrical system
All three of my door locks no longer lock electronically. They must be locked manually. I have two children and this is a major safety concern. Many complaints have been filed to GM indicating that this is a manufacturing error. My car has 85000 miles and many that have complained have far less. This is clearly an issue that should be recalled. I reached out to GM with no solution offered other than them basically saying I am on my own. They did offer to help me find a local dealer I could shell out my money to. Please help. This issue occurs when the car is at rest and in motion.
Upon being stopped at a light at a main intersection and then making a left hand turn, the vehicle shut down and the check engine light came on the panel. We were able to coast to the side of the road. After a few minutes, the vehicle started up for about 2miles then shut off again. The dealer was not able to replicate and said no issues found. They gave us the vehicle back only to have the same issue 5 days later in which the vehicle was towed back to the dealer. Diagnostics then showed a new battery was needed (?) and a sealant resealed. Well, a few days later (less than a week) it happened again. The dealer has since had the vehicle, claiming nothing is wrong and has not been able to replicate. (all instances were during constant rainfall and the vehicle being driven at least 15-20minutes in the rain. …
Air bags
There Takata recall has been a recall for over 3 years on the car I went to get it repaired due to my service air bag light coming on and they keep telling me that a repair has not been found for the Takata recall.
Like the other 9000 people identified on facebook among other forums, the dash on my Yukon is cracked. I am concerned about putting my family in this vehicle. This is a product defect. I wouldn't mind spending the money to put a new one in, but I dont have the confidence the new dash will last any longer. Cracking happens right near the passenger airbag and right in front of the drivers instrument panel.

In late May 2014 I started getting a brake error message & my brakes would not work properly. I would push down on the brakes & it would be hard to brake. I was barely able to pull over, however I made it to the side of the highway & turned off my vehicle, when I turned it on the brake error was gone & my brakes seemed to work. I took my car to the dealer on May 29, 2014 they said it was the master brake cylinder sensor, but I had to wait because GM had the item on back order. I got the car repaired but the day after I picked it up the same thing happened but this time my brakes failed completely & we had to use the emergency brakes and almost got into an accident due to the failure. I took the car in again & they said they needed to repair the ABS brake assembly, so we proceeded to approve the repair & get that fixed. …
