GM is recalling 857,735 my 2006-2008 Buick lucerne; Cadillac dts; Hummer h2; my 2007-2008 Cadillac escalade, escalade esv, escalade ext; Chevrolet avalanche, silverado, suburban, tahoe; GMC acadia, sierra, yukon, yukon xl, Saturn outlook; and my 2008 Buick enclave vehicles equipped with a heated wiper washer fluid system.

Air bags
2007 GMC SIERRA- Consumers writing in about the recall notice and repair of the Takata airbag. Consumer stated " I made an appointment with the dealer." " After waiting in a long line to check in. the serviceman told me that to replace the airbag they would have to remove the dashboard and it most likely will crack during the procedure and the replacement cost is at my expense. He also said that he is not aware of any problem resulting if I choose not to have it replaced. If you can guarantee that replacing the airbag will not crack the dashboard or that you will cover the cost of a new dashboard, I will be happy to honor the recall notice." Recall notice attached.

Brakes
I had a minor vehicle accident when I applied the brakes they went straight to the floor. I hand my vehicle towed to shop and it was found that the brake lines had rusted thru in the bracket on the firewall.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra. While driving 55 MPH, the brake pedal failed to respond when it was depressed and the ABS indicator illuminated. The contact discovered that there was no brake fluid in the reservoir and the brakes were rusted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 78,000. Updated 10/10/14 the consumer stated upon depressing the brake pedal the vehicle slowed, but the pedal went to the floor. The driver made a right turn at 35 MPH and slid into gravel almost hitting a guardrail. The manufacturer stated they haven't received any similar complaints. Electrical system
As truck was started after routine maintenance and being pull out of garage on11/10/15 there was a fire under the front of truck. When the fire was extinguished, the mechanic saw that the wiring was exposed due to continuous scraping against truck frame.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, there was smoke coming through the vents along with a burning odor. The air conditioning unit was activated when the smoke started pouring through the vents. As the air conditioner was turned off and the smoke ceased. The air conditioner was never used again. Most of the electrical lights on the instrument panel started to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who stated that the failure was caused by the throttle sensor or the catalytic converter. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,616.
