We had a head on collision on 4/26/23. The other at fault vehicle airbags did in fact deploy and we believe ours should have also deployed but Didn't. We have dash cam footage to see the impact and at that speed, one would anticipate airbags deploying.

I have been waiting over a year to get my recall airbag fixed. I was sold a defective car and would hope that it would get fixed ASAP especially knowing that if I am in an accident, I could get killed or anyone else in my car could. This is unacceptable. I received a recall letter in May 2023 and today at the emissions testing was told to go get it fixed. I looked up what to do in the GMC website and they make it sound like I just call the dealership and they will fix it. That is not true, I was told there is no solution. I am driving a car that could kill me or any passenger in my car and have been for over a year. I called my dealership, GMC corporate and was told by both of them they would let me know when a part would be available but as of right now there is nothing. I believe it is negligent to have a recall that could cause death and it take this long. …

GM is not doing anything to remedy this airbag recall. They are not allowing their own employees to drive the company car with the same recall yet they are expecting the consumer to continue to drive it knowing, if deployed, the driver airbag could explode shrapnel and kill or harm myself and my children in the car. They are not providing any replacement car for me to drive in while they come up with a solution and they are also not wanting to give me anything close to a fair value to trade it in. So, if I want to sell my car, which I own outright, I will lose thousands of dollars from only owning it for three years. They have no remedy or timeline on when one might be available. GM is the only manufacturer not making right on this recall.

Bought vehicle used/as is from dealer about a month after air bag recall announced in 2023. Found out it is apparently illegal to sell a vehicle with an open recall. Dealer did not disclose the recall and I did not research unfortunately. It's been over a year now since air bag was recalled and still no fix and I live in a very hot state. Should never take this long to fix something so dangerous - FATAL. Lives are possibly at stake!!! Also had to replace temp sensor which cost about $1,000. A/C wasn't working properly. Mechanic said they had to replace the temp sensor. Research shows this is a known issue. Also have had to replace O2 sensors and might have catalytic convertor issue.
