What owners report
Was driving down the highway 70ish MPH with the cruise control on and the following errors came out of no where less than 5,000 miles on the car and had the oil changed the day before (by a certified Ford dealer) powertrain malfunction/reduced power, pre-collision assist not available, the hill start assist warning. The cruise control was no longer available after that. We were 1 hour from home. We did make it home just wasn't able to use the cruise control. Had the dealership hook it up to read the code errors. Has no explanation of why and cleared the codes. Just said that for some reason the car lost communication with the car. I have driven it for 2 days since no more errors so far but I am waiting..
I have numerous fault messages, pre collision assist fault, 4wd temp disabled, 4wd system fault service required, service required, drive mode unavailable fault, auto hold system fault, service advancetrac, vehicle will not swtich into park or neutral. I was in motion at the state speed limit of 70 on the ohio turnpike when out of the bule the warning cluster lit up like a christmas tree with mutiple faults and system errors. Vehicle has limited braking.
I was stuck at a standstill in traffic on a city highway with my family on father's day when the dash lit up with multiple warnings such as "steering loss stop safely," "service advancetrac," "stability control off," and "hill start assist not available." I was not moving and could not understand what happened. No one was injured and the vehicle's power steering failed. The vehicle was not overheating. Roadside brought the vehicle to a nearby dealer. Eventually, two days later, the computer said we needed a new steering column (I thought a steering column should last the life of the vehicle...). There were no warning signs, no leaks, and no strange noises. Of course, I was past my warranty. Pretty hefty bill. There is an new recall for a rear suspension problem that was issued just days earlier.

Was traveling down a city surface street when another vehicle tried to beat me to getting onto the same street I was traveling on made a sudden turn before I could get to his location. Upon trying to maneuver and avoid a collision the vehicle suddenly did not respond to the maneuver and instead veered off the road and crashed into a residence. Steering failed to function as intended, ABS system also failed to function properly. This has not been the first time I got into a wreck like this with this vehicle. Making a sudden turn in this vehicle will likely suffer some sort of accident, vehicle does not respond like it should with all them electrical safety features.
