What 1995 Chevrolet Lumina Apv owners say

Windows, wipers & sunroof all 40 →

Ref: NHTSA recall no. 97V017000 some of these vehicles have a strained or separated windshield washer/wiper switch wire. This can cause the windshield washer/wiper to work intermittently and could ultimately result in inoperative wipers. This has occurred twice during operation of my vehicle while driving on interstate highways and needing the wipers during a sudden rain storm. Five minutes later the wipers would be working again. I have contacted both the dealer I bought the new car from, and Chevrolet ([phone]) and neither knew anything about this type of problem.

Windshield wiper/washer › Switch/wiring · 98,000 miles · Jul 2003

Windshield wipers only work when they want to. On going problem since I bought van. Chevy says no recall was issued and it's not their problem. I have replaced the motor and still have the same problem. I can not drive if it is raining due to wipers May work but they could stop working again at any time. Also wiper fluid does not work when wipers do not work. I can not tell you how many failures due to it happens everytime it rains/snows/sleets. Meaning they May work or May not but if they do work they always stop.

While driving approximately 40 MPH brake pedal was applied on several occasions. However, vehicle failed to stop, and hit a large boulder. Feel free to provide any further information concerning this matter.

Antilock/traction control/electronic limited slip · Jun 2001 · crash

I am reporting this to let you know that attempts to get information from GM or its local dealers has fallen upon deaf ears! The company line if you in the recall, you will be notified in writing! If my car crashes today, that won't do me much good. The ABS brakes on this van have never worked properly. Stopping distances are very long! I have always suspected but have always been told the brakes are fine. I was told the same today. I am going back to the dealer tomorrow and they claim, I will have to pay for this repair, since I don't have a notice of recall. My life, my family's lives are worth that to me. Unfortunately, I can't buy a new car! Thank you for your recent e-mail. We apologize for any frustration. Your vehicle May be involved

The dealer has been notified about the vehicle's door. The dealer repalced the motor on the door. After the replacement of the motor, the door still closes on it's own. Child was closed up in the door while on a hill. (she was pressed between the door and where the vehicle and the door meets.
