What owners report
The Good Year tires that I purchased are making a high speed vibration. I feel that my safety is at high risk when I am driving on the highway. I did seek help from a independent service center. They rebalanced the tires, and one tire was replaced under warranty. I paid $65.00 out of my pocket. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacture, etc. There were no warning lamps or messages.
Tire pressure monitor failed in less then 3 years of owning the vehicle. The truck was purchased brand new in 2016 and now I'm being told that I have to pay for the tmps replacement cause I'm past the bumper to bumper warranty. This is clearly a defect in the TPMS as the batteries should last at least 10 years. I have a 2008 vehicle that has the original sensors in the tires with no issues. Is there anyone that can get the taken care of as this is a defect and not a normal wear and tear situation.
Left rear tire blowout while traveling southbound on us hwy 550 at mile post 84 over red mountain pass. This is a particularly dangerous pass with steep drop offs and narrow, if any, shoulders. Driver was able to find room on the right side of road to remove the blown out tire and mount the spare. Had this blowout occurred on another stretch of the road, driver and truck would have gone over the edge. Asphault pavement was dry and ice-free at the time. Driver judges the blowout due to manufacturing defect: ply and tread separation. Tire was OEM provided with the new truck, not quite 2 years old, and otherwise ample tread life. Driver has photographs of the tire, and keeps the tire in his barn for inspection if required.
I have a 2015 Chevy Colorado lt and I noticed that at 27000 miles my front tires were not wearing even. I don't know why the car would do that if it's practically new. The wheels started cracking from the outside.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado. While driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle shook. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that four out of six studs became detached. The vehicle was repaired, but the dealer did not replace the sixth stud. The failure recurred and caused the tire and the rim to detach from the rear of the driver side. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado . The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the low air pressure warning light continuously illuminated. The tire pressure was checked and was accurate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnostic testing, they replaced one wheel sensor and re-programmed the computer. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 79,000.
At the time of my third tire rotation, my dealer informed me that my tires were worn down to the wear bars and needed replacement. Mileage at the time was only 19,474. GM would not take responsibility for replacement or partial re-imbursement of the general p225/75/r15 tires, even though they were factory-installed on the truck as purchased in 2008. The tires either were defective, or GM chose to put very poor tires on their new Colorado trucks as a way of cutting costs.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. The TPMS warning light intermittently illuminates on the instrument control panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for vehicle inspection. Since the technicians could not identify the cause of the failure, they could not provide a remedy. The failure mileage was 9,000. The vehicle identification number was unavailable.
