My dream car...2017 Cadillac CTS 3.6L prem. Lux. I've noticed a lot of complaints with very low miles under 30,000 service suspension system, car has new Perelli tires 19" and the driver front tire went flat. What's going on, I don't want the dealer to take advantage of me. I can't understand why this vehicle would be giving me problems so soon purchased from Calstar Mercedes dealer on [redacted] of 2023.

While the touchtone screen has failed twice and Cadillac has replaced it more important than that is the fact that the car was ordered with the carbon fiber wheel package and those wheels have cracked/ cant hold air pressure the dealer has replaced one but said they cannot replace the set of 4- my daughter has had 4 issues of tires going flat while driving- fortunately she has not had an accident yet but this is a severe safety issue that Cadillac doesnt want to resolve is there a recall or safety issue with these carbon fiber rims? My daughter no longer feels that the vehicle is safe and does not want to get in an accident wh she or someone else gets hurt - please help!

I purchased a Cadillac CTS 3.6, Performance Model, in late 2015 with Pirelli 245/40 R18 Pzero Run Flats as OEM tires. I replaced those tires with the exact same Pzero tires in February, 2019, after 35,250 miles on the OEM tires. I never had a problem with the OEM tires, and expected a similar driving experience and performance from the replacement Pzeros. To my surprise, the experience from the new replacement tires was completely different from the originals. I complained to the dealer on numerous occasions about the way the replacement tires rode and performed. I had the dealer re-check the front end alignment. I complained to the dealer that the tires lost air pressure to the extent of two psi per week. I complained to the dealer that the tires, as opposed to the driver, steered the car. …

When turning the steering wheel in either direction, left or right, of the vehicle, there is a loud metal-on-metal noise. The vehicle has been taken twice to mcguire Cadillac where I was told that there was "no fix at this time." I have contacted Cadillac headquarters numerous times and, unfortunately, no assistance has been given. On December 30, 2015, while driving 60 MPH on the right lane of a highway, I suddenly lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle veered across to the left across three lanes on the highway. The vehicle did a 360 coming to rest facing oncoming traffic where I had no control of the brake or gas pedals in the vehicle. After coming to a halt, I was then able to gain control of the vehicle. It was a very scary situation.

I was driving and it started rattling and getting very bumpy. I exited the freeway and came to a stop. The vehicle would no longer move. I had it towed to my mechanic. The right front axle broke. He replaced it and drove it around the block for a test drive. It was very loud and turning tight when the left axle broke. It has been diagnosed with a bad differential. Everyone I have spoke with at multiple Cadillac dealerships, including someone at a dealership over 30 years, have said they never seen this type of problem and especially on such a newer vehicle with only 84,000 miles. It was a very dangerous situation and if it never happens why did it happen to mine? I'm thinking something is faulty in the differential etc.

2014 CTS · Oct 2021

Our mechanic told us that the differential is making a grinding sound and he add differential fluid, but said the problem would only get worse. The car only has 62k miles on it and it is VERY EXPENSIVE to have the differential replace/repaired. I feel that this is a defect of the car and should be recalled by Cadillac to have the differential replaced. For the differential to go bad at 60k miles is unacceptable and is terrible reliability.

I was traveling south on rt 10 providence rhode island when I hit a pot hole, that split the wheels diametrically, and deflating the tires. The wheels are manufactured by tsw, jarama, 20 x8.5 5x120 et35, and 20 x10 5 x120 et35 respectively. When the wheels split, I lost control of the car, but managed to get the car over to the side of the highway. I called the ri state police and filed an incident report. My concern is the wheels spit similarly even though they are of different sizes, different batches, and split the same. This resulted in a very dangerous situation, and I thought would be important to report the incident. I did contact the manufacturer, and they said I must of hit something significant to cause two wheels to break. My perspective is they failed identically which suggests a design issue, and a not a product issue.

While in reverse, front steering seams to skip. It feels like a 4wd. I took it to an authorized dealer and they told me it was normal. They even showed me a bulletin from GM that explained the problem was normal and to do no repairs. After driving 15,000 miles, it has steadily gotten worse. I took it in again. Again they told me it was normal. While there, they tried to sell me new tires because my rear tires are bald. They said it was from high speed starts. I explained that a 73 year old person(my wife) is not out drag racing and there for, they must be defective tires. They contacted continental tires(the maker of the tires) whom replaced the tires, but stated 15 to 20 thousand miles are average for those tires. At $500 each, I would expect to get more miles out of the tires. Not happy at all.
