The ABS traction control is now coming on all the time. I understand this has been a big problem for Buick. They have not fixed any problems on these. Wish they would recall them for this problem as this is not safe. It comes on going down the road and makes a funny noise. This van has had so many problems that it should be recalled.
We have a 2007 Buick Terraza cx with 11,000 miles, which was our worst mistake. It was a program vehicle. We have continually had problems with the automatic door malfunctioning. It has been taken apart and everything replaced and still it does not want to shut. The service traction light comes on along with the pump at a time when it wants to. Usually when the dealer is closed. Then it goes off without throwing any codes. The engine is riding rough but the computer shows nothing. The gas mileage is really down. We have been in contact with bbb autoline and illinois attorney general. There is a serious problem with this door. It is a matter of time before it decides to open while I am driving with my children. I have had it into the dealer probably over 30 times or more. …
The contact owns a 2006 Buick Terraza. The contact stated that the antitheft alarm engaged inadvertently, causing the vehicle to shutoff while driving. The START/STOP Disabled message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that a steering wiring cable might be detached. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred twice while driving. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where unknown repairs were completed. The contact also stated that the electronic stability control and the traction control warning lights had illuminated while driving. Additionally, the contact stated that the rear driver's side door handle was fractured. …
I bought this vehicle in feb. 2015. About a week after purchase I was going to work one night and the vehicle suddenly veered to the left and brakes locked. The stability light then came on. I pulled over and shut the van off and restarted it . No light was on then. About one month later it did it again. This time I was going about 50 miles ph. A car behind me almost hit me from behind due to the sudden stop.another month went by before it started doing it again. This time it veered into the path of a semi tractor trailer. I then called the dealership and they agreed to have it fixed. I got it back a week later and it still has the same issue. This problem is going to cause a major accident and hopefully no one gets killed!!!!!! Buick needs to recall these vans immediately.
Hello, I have a 2005 Buick Terraza cx AWD. My ABS and traction control lights came on and when it did the vehicle started to apply the brakes itself pulling the vehicle to the left while driving. I couldn't control the vehicle. I started reading up on this, and it appears many other owners of this vehicle been having this same unsafe problem over the years and no recall is been done. This is a very serious issue!!! I'm surprise no one has been involved in an accident and been killed. I also notice this has been reported many times as well to the manufacture and they haven't done anything about it but come up with excuses to the owners like myself. Do someone has to be killed before a recall is done? …
The 2005 Buick Terraza is equipped with a GM stabilitrack system, which combines anti-lock brake, traction and stability control systems. I was driving this vehicle at 60 MPH on a straight road during a dry, sunny day and fully loaded with camping gear, children, their computer games and my wife. The vehicle was pulling a small trailer. In an instant, the van lurched as the brakes engaged on their own. We lost 20 miles per hour in a second. We pitched forward in our seat belts, and the van swerved to the left into the other lane of the interstate. I steered as best I could, but it felt like suggesting a direction more than driving. Everything was mushy and the trailer wanted to keep going. We pitched left and right twice. The panel said that the 'stability control system active.' I managed to steer to the right shoulder and stop. I breathed and pressed on the hazard lights. …
