I bought a used BMW from long island auto find. Before picking it up I told nick certain things needed to be done there was a drafty sound coming from the moon roof the center rims were corroded, bolts were missing from the valve cover. I was called three days in a row by nick who claimed everything was done and the car was ready to be picked up. When I got the re not only was the battery dead, nothing on my list was done! I have since had the car 5 month and I has been in the shop 5 weeks so far. Passenger side air bag malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. There was an oil leak that caused my eyes to water and leaves a funny taste in my mouth. This took three different attempts to fix. The car moves from side to side at 65 MPH. The car just died while taking my wife to work. I brought it to the shop it did it on the mechanic but he could not determine the cause. …

I own a 2006 BMW 530i with 37,000 miles on original set of Bridgestone rft tires 275/40 r1893y. These are low profile tires and on nov 16, 07 < brought my car in for a tire check at the dealer. They determined that the rt rear wheel was cracked and has damaged the tire. This they said was not covered under warranty as they say that it was damaged from a pot hole. I said that I have been driving cars like Cadillac, Mercedes, corvette and never broke a wheel. They would not cover it and it cost me $900. Now on April 11, 2008, I went to my tire dealer that I have been buying tires from for 20+ years. He said the left rear and front wheels were cracked and also ruined the left rear tire. I am very unhappy and would like to know if the BMW 18" wheels on the above mentioned tires are defective.

I have dunlop sp sport tires (run flat) on my 2004 BMW 530i with 16,000 miles. The inside tread is worn beyond the tread to the point where tire threads are clearly visible throughout the inside of the tire, while the outside is almost good as new. The rear tires are completely exhausted while the front tires clearly show excess and uneven wear on the inside. The service manager states that dunlop has been replacing these tires and has not had a single refusal yet. How many thousands of defects are out there, and must a family be killed before a recall happens? The service manager stated that with another client he could poke his fingers through the tire, and that car had 6000 miles on it! I had filed a previous compiant on my 2004 BMW 530i regarding this same issue. …
