What 2001 Audi 100 owners say
Transmission & drivetrain
I have noticed significant hesitation when I launch the car from a stop. When the car is completely stopped, and I step on the gas pedal, a lag of 1-3 seconds is observed. Within this time range, the car just idles as-is without moving forward. The same problem happens when I attempt to accelerate from 10-30. I consider this to be a safety hazard for myself and other people on the road.
Transmission or turbos lags after stopping-causing a delay in accelleration-almost hit and rear ended several times. No accident yet but some adjustment in the transmission or chip should be made by Audi on all of these cars- check out Audi forums for 60 or more experiencing this same event.
